The Department of Mathematics offers a minor in Mathematics for those students who wish to acquire a more extensive knowledge of mathematical sciences in support of their personal interests or major area of study.  If you are majoring in a technical area such as engineering or computer science, your major requirements may put you just one or two courses short of a minor in Mathematics.

Effective Fall 2024

Students must satisfactorily complete the total credits required for the minor. Minors and interdisciplinary minors require 12 or more upper-division (300- to 400-level) credits.

Additional coursework may be required due to prerequisites.

A minimum grade of C is required in each MATH, STAT, and CS course required for the minor in mathematics.
