The Bachelor of Science in Watershed Science and Sustainability (WSS) prepares students to address water issues, in the western United States, where water is increasingly scarce, and around the world. Across all of the Watershed Science concentrations, students will gain foundational knowledge in physical, geological, and biological controls on how water moves and how people affect water through infrastructure, laws, policy, and land use. Through three different concentrations, students will have the opportunity to specialize in the biophysical, data analysis, or sustainability components of understanding how watersheds work.
Students completing this program are equipped to immediately engage in the rapidly expanding fields of water resource management, watershed monitoring, sustainable water decision-making, and other related fields.
